Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) topped several global labor market indicators published by institutions and organisations, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
According to the 2023 Global Prosperity Index released by the British Legonton Institute, the UAE ranks first in the world in the talent attraction index.
The UAE also leads the world in several indices in the World Competitiveness Yearbook 2022 published by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.
In the World Competitiveness Yearbook 2022, the UAE ranks second globally in five indicators – availability of professional senior managers, employment rate, low unemployment rate, percentage of foreign workforce and labor force as a percentage of the population.
“The UAE’s leading position in different international indices is the result of our country’s continuous efforts to modernize its legislation and legal system, provide world-class infrastructure, and a resilient and robust economic environment to attract global investment and talent.”
“The new legislative package has significantly improved the working environment and helped the UAE improve its ranking in the Global Competitiveness Index.”
said Noura Al Marzouqi, Assistant Undersecretary for Policy and Strategy at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
