The UAE and the Kingdom of Malaysia are unwavering in their efforts to forge a partnership of excellence and foster it in all areas, especially in defence, to achieve a shared vision of strengthening the pillars of security and stability through the exchange of experiences.
Through cooperation, the two friendly nations aim to increase the level of performance, efficiency and teamwork in line with strategies to increase the readiness of the Defense Forces and their ability to respond to various military operational environments.
The close cooperation between the two countries is reflected in the ongoing joint military exercises between the UAE and Malaysian armed forces, as well as their cooperation in the field of military training.
Earlier this year, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Majesty King Abdullah Riyaddin Mustafa Bila Shah, King of Malaysia Witness the conclusion of the “Desert Tiger 6” joint military exercise between the UAE and Malaysian armies, held in the UAE.
The “Desert Tiger 6” joint military exercise was a great success, demonstrating the level of coordination and combat readiness achieved by the two militaries through well-planned military training to ensure that the two countries and their people are well protected.
With the support of the leaders of both countries, the UAE-Malaysia defense cooperation is a testament to their special relationship and its development with the continued development of joint military exercises as part of their efforts in line with global efforts to promote peace.
Both countries are also keen to increase participation in professional military, defense and security exhibitions and conferences. Last year, the UAE participated in the Defense Services Asia Exhibition and Conference (DSA) held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Meanwhile, Malaysia participates in the IDEX and NAVDEX exhibitions held in Abu Dhabi every two years.
