UAE: Man arrested for murder in UAE after praying for Eid al-Fitr-News

A 31-year-old Chinese was arrested within 48 hours on suspicion of participating.

The criminal investigation department of the Fujairah Police has captured the murderer of a 39-year-old Emirati whose body was found after Eid al-Fitr in Fujairah.

A 31-year-old Chinese national was arrested within 48 hours on suspicion of participating in the killings on Saturday.

Brigadier General Hamid Mohamed Al-Yamahi, Director-General of Police Operations, said that the investigation began immediately after a forensic doctor confirmed the crime.

Brigadier General Mohamed Ahmed Al Shaer, director of the criminal investigation department in charge of the team, said that the crime scene and the victim’s vehicle were analyzed. The suspect was subsequently identified and arrested for the stolen items in his possession.

Man was found dead after Eid al-Fitr prayer hall

According to the suspect, he saw the victim’s vehicle parked in a dark area behind Eid al-Fitr with its engine on. He opened the back door to surprise the victim, sat in his seat, and threatened him with a gun he had previously stolen from the villa.

After the victim got out of the car, the suspect shot and killed him, bleeding profusely, then fled in a car and parked the car in the dark on the beach. He also stole the victim’s personal belongings, including his wallet.

The suspect also instructed the police to go to the hiding place of the guns used in the crime.

The commander-in-chief of the Fujairah Police Major General Mohamed Ahmed bin Ghanem Alkabi praised the professionalism of the police, which led to the arrest of the suspect and the completion of all procedures for submitting the case to the prosecution.

He said that the Fujairah police will crack down on anyone who dares to breach security.
