UAE: Man on trial for selling honey; this is why-News

The defendant claimed that he bought honey at a price not exceeding 20 dirhams per kilogram and reselled it at a price of 50 dirhams per kilogram.

A 35-year-old Arab man will face trial for selling honey at traffic lights and public places without obtaining permission from the relevant authorities.

According to police reports, the operating room received some calls about an Arab national selling honey on the streets and in public places. The price of honey is also cheaper than in stores.

The police arrested the defendant. The defendant confessed before prosecution and explained that he had not obtained a permit because he was renewing his visa. He also said that he did not beg from people in the market, only selling honey.

The man confirmed that he bought honey at a price not exceeding 20 dirhams per kilogram and reselled it at a price of 50 dirhams per kilogram.
