Al Maqam Healthcare Centre in Al Ain has reopened after being closed during the Covid-19 pandemic, Ambulatory Healthcare Services – SEHA Healthcare Agency announced.
Dr Noura Al Ghaithi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of AHS, said: “We are very pleased to announce the reopening of the Al Maqam Health Care Centre in Al Ain, offering a wide range of services to meet the needs of the Al Maqam community and surrounding communities such as Asharej and Al Bateen and Al Markhaniyyah and make it easier for them to access our medical services. We will work to expand the specialized services offered by the center in the coming months.”
Services include general medicine, family medicine, chronic disease clinics, women’s health, children’s health, prenatal services, screenings, vaccinations, and premarital and preemployment screenings. In addition, the center will offer specialized services including dermatology, obstetrics, pediatrics, general dentistry and nutrition, complemented by X-ray, ultrasound, laboratory and pharmacy services.
Dr Aysha Al Mansoori, Manager of Al Maqam Healthcare Centre added: “I invite our community to visit the healthcare centre and register with the family doctor, not only to treat them when they feel unwell, but more importantly to conduct routine and preventive check-ups and communicate with A long-term relationship is established with their family doctor. The family doctor has a responsibility to ensure the health of patients and to ensure that they receive preventive screenings on time.
“Patients often have difficulty determining which specialty they need to see for a particular issue. This is where the family doctor steps in, as he/she will assess the patient’s condition and determine if they need to transfer to another specialty, and then follow up with them to care for those specialties.”
The centre is open Monday to Friday from 7am to 10.30pm. People can make appointments through SEHA call centre 80050 or WhatsApp 024102200 or SEHA app.
