In line with its vision to be a leader in customer service, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEI) has launched an Augmented Reality (AR) enhanced Government Service Booklet. It is the first service manual of its kind to feature this innovative design. Users can use the camera of their smartphones to scan the QR code on the manual page and watch video clips of officials talking about topics, providing customers with a unique dazzling experience.
Experts and department officials from MOEI participated in the development of AR content. They are keen to present in a simple language that everyone can understand, so customers can easily understand all service requirements and understand the context related to previous services and subsequent procedures.
In addition to AR content, many services offer step-by-step videos explaining how to access them as well as sign language interpretation. This is part of the ministry’s commitment to include all members of society and provide equal opportunities for everyone, including those of determination.

The printed version of the brochure has a QR code that opens the service page on the ministry’s website or smart app.
Amira Aljasmi, head of the corporate services section of the ministry’s strategy and future outlook, said: “In this booklet, we aspire to make a breakthrough in the preparation of government service handbooks.
