UAE ministry urged to report company misconduct in Emiratisation plan

[ad_1]

Nafis is a government federal initiative launched last September to increase the number of Emiratis employed in the private sector over the next five years.

It has several programs including UAE Wage Support Scheme, Pension Scheme, Child Allowance Scheme, Talent and Apprenticeship Scheme, Unemployment Benefit, etc.

Under the expanded scheme, Emiratis earning less than Dh30,000 a month will receive a stipend. Nafis will provide monthly grants of up to Dh7,000 for those with a bachelor’s degree; Dh6,000 for diploma holders; and Dh5,000 for high school graduates.

On Saturday, Al Awar issued a forceful statement saying MoHRE “will firmly implement the necessary procedures against any company that seeks to abuse policies and decisions related to Emiratisation, including for the benefit of Nafis.

“MoHRE will address and deal with any such abuse in the right way,” he stressed.

Al Awar reiterated: “Some of these false and negative practices are considered to be clear violations of the provisions of Federal Decree No. 33 of 2021 on labor relations as it falls under the category of discrimination between persons and affects career opportunities in the labor market.

Al Awar said: “We call on Emirati job seekers or those currently working in the private sector or members of the community at large to report any false practices related to Emiratization in the labor market through MoHRE’s call center 600590000 in order to increase compliance with relevant decisions , policies, laws and regulations.”
