Video released by authorities shows how officers conducted an air rescue
The UAE National Search and Rescue Center (NSRC) conducted a medical evacuation in the Al Ain Desert on Sunday. Authorities responded to reports filed by friends of the injured, informing them of the incident.
NSRC quickly conducted a rescue and medical evacuation mission to the 27-year-old South African man. He lost control and flipped several times while riding his bike at Bar Souihan in Al Ain.
Authorities posted a video on their social media platforms showing how officials conducted an air rescue. The cyclist sustained a broken bone and was transferred to Tawam Hospital in Al Ain for appropriate treatment.
Last week, NSRC rescued a man whose glider crashed in the Abu Dhabi desert city of Madinat Zayed. The man was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to hospital immediately.
