UAE named best place to live

[ad_1]

The UAE remains at the top of the list, as the country’s young Arabs will choose their home for the 11th year in a row.

The Arab Youth Survey found that 18- to 24-year-olds also want their country to follow the UAE’s path.

The findings are the result of face-to-face interviews with 3,400 Arabs in 17 countries. The annual survey is produced by Dubai-based public relations agency Asda’a BCW.

When asked where they would most like to live, it was found that 57% chose the UAE.

UAE scores high on all issues that Arab youth think is most important to them – employment opportunities, quality of education and protection of the region’s cultural traditions and values

It was followed by the US at 24% and Canada at 20%. France and Germany are tied for fourth place with 15%.

The study surveyed people in 50 cities in the Middle East and North Africa.

The study highlights a growing economy, Safetya generous remuneration package, a wide range of opportunities and effective leadership are what keep the UAE in the lead.

Measures taken by the government to balance the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, including transformative visa changes and policies to encourage investment, show that the UAE is taking action on issues that matter to young people.

Sunil John, president of BCW Middle East, described the UAE as “a beacon of hope and opportunity for young Arab men and women”.

“Perhaps most tellingly, the UAE scored highly on all the issues that Arab youth felt was most important to them in our study, such as employment opportunities, the quality of education and the preservation of the region’s cultural traditions and values,” he said. .

The UAE’s popularity across the region is evident. In 2012, when the question was introduced in the survey, some 33% chose it as the country they chose to live in. The country has climbed from a favorite of 47 percent of respondents last year to nearly two-thirds or 57 percent of respondents this year.

Emirates was the top choice for young people in the Levant, with 51% choosing it.

It is the country of choice for 63% of Gulf nationals and 51% of North African youth.

Other reasons why the UAE stands out include respect for cultural traditions, reputation as a good place to raise a family, high-quality education system, welcome to foreigners and ease of starting a business and obtaining a residence visa.

The Middle East and North Africa has one of the highest youth unemployment rates, and youth face employment and inflation challenges, according to IMF data.

The survey results show that the UAE is lucky compared to their Arab counterparts, with 45% of Emirati youth citing the rising cost of living as the biggest obstacle, followed by 27% who say unemployment is the biggest challenge.

However, nearly half of UAE citizens, or 48 percent, said finding a job was easy.

The survey reflects optimism among Arab youth, with more than half believing they will have a better life than their parents.

Among Emirati youth, 91% say their best days are coming, and everyone supports the country’s economic development path.

Research shows that Emirati youth embrace the country’s growth drivers.

Some 94% of Emiratis support the recently introduced long-term residency visa, a whopping 84% support allowing residents to fully own onshore companies, and more than half or 54% say they accept residency for unmarried couples together.
