UAE: Naval ships from nine countries arrive in Abu Dhabi…

The number of exhibitors has surged by more than 200% as the first naval vessels arrive at Adnec Marina in Abu Dhabi for NAVDEX 2023.

The Naval Defense Exhibition and Conference (NAVDEX 2023) and the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2023) will be held at Adnec from February 20-24. Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the event aims to bring together leading industry players, policymakers and military experts to showcase the latest innovations and technologies in the field of defense and security .

Commodore Rashid Al-Muhaisni, Chairman of the NAVDEX 2023 Organizing Committee, noted the “significant growth” in the number of participating companies and the extensive display of the latest innovations in the coastal defense industry.

“Since launching its first edition 12 years ago, NAVDEX has successfully reaffirmed its position as one of the world’s leading platforms, bringing together specialists and specialists from around the world to form partnerships and explore opportunities to advance important industries. “

He noted that the ships will be on display in the ports of Adenik and Zayed, and naval vessels will also be part of the exhibition.

“The current edition of NAVDEX will see the participation of multiple naval vessels from eight countries, including Pakistan, Bahrain, United Kingdom, Italy, China, India and the United Arab Emirates,” said Al-Muhaisni.

The first batch included seven naval vessels of various sizes and purposes from different countries. The vessels are formally greeted as they enter the Mussafah Canal up to the Adnec Wharf which is located opposite Adnec.

“NAVDEX will be held for the first time in the new Adnec Marina hall, which at 10,000 square meters is the largest show of its kind in the Middle East. The number of dealers has increased by 206 percent,” emphasized Saeed Al Mansoori, CEO of Capital Events, a subsidiary of Adnec Group.

Adnec is the only center in the Middle East that organizes indoor, outdoor and marine exhibitions.
