UAE: New book on human fraternity, peace, tolerance launched in Abu Dhabi – News

A new book emphasizing the values ​​of human fraternity, coexistence, peace and tolerance has been launched in the UAE.

Professor Jamal Sanad Al Suwaidi, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies (ECSSR) authored the book: “A Document of Human Fraternity: The Aspiration for a Harmonious Life and a Conflict-Free Global Community”. It aims to promote peace among people, Tolerance and coexistence.

Speaking at the launch of his new book in Abu Dhabi, Professor Al Suwaidi said: “We all want a world free from war and conflict, a world where people can live together in harmony and in peace.”

In 2019, the Human Fraternity Document was signed in Abu Dhabi by Dr. Ahmed el-Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and President of the Muslim Council of Elders, and Pope Francis.

Al Suwaidi’s generosity to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sponsorship expresses heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Pope Francis of the Catholic Church and Grand Imam Prof. Ahmed Al Tayeb, Al-Azhar Grand Sheikh, President of the Muslim Council of Elders and United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres for signing the Human Fraternity Document United Nations, which inspired the idea to write and publish this book.

The professor also spoke about the UAE’s role in spreading tolerance and peaceful coexistence, starting with the country’s founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God bless his soul), as he was Ain, the ruler’s representative in Aar, urged his people to practice tolerance and coexistence.

“The written records of explorers and travelers bear this out, as does Sheikh Zayed’s words and deeds,” Al Suwaidi said.

At the book launch, Dr. Radwan Al Sayyed presented the readings for the book, in which he commended Professor Al Suwaidi’s thesis, analysis and recommendations for the publication of the book.

Al Sayyed noted that tolerance is a great human value that is essential to building cohesive, stable and developed societies.

Professor Dr Radwan emphasized the need for tolerance at all times in light of what Dr Al Suwaidi wrote in his book, from which he read the following passage: “In historical times when bigotry and intolerance are on the rise, or when extremism and When there are more and more supporters of the clash of civilizations. There will always be someone chosen by God to help mankind and spread the principles of justice, tolerance, equality and benevolence for the survival and well-being of mankind.”

Dr. Khalid bin Qaqah, author and reporter for several newspapers and magazines, read excerpts from the book and thanked Al Suwaidi for writing such a valuable book that will enrich libraries around the world and help spread truth, kindness, and peace ideal. beauty.

Dr Khaled noted that Al Suwaidi detailed the UAE’s relationship with the world, whether through the many different communities living there, or by exporting positive ideas to change the course of human relations, explaining the goals of the document and the UAE’s emerging role, supporting what is stated therein and calling for compliance, indicating the basis upon which it is based.

Al-Suwaidi expressed his utmost confidence and hoped that the publication of this work will pave the way for more research papers that will be added to the UAE Tolerance Library and highlight the UAE’s efforts in this field.
