Ahead of the fourth Adnoc Abu Dhabi Marathon to be held on December 17, two Abu Dhabi entities have launched a three-race series for the public to train in malls and stadiums.

Over the next three months, the Race Series Edition, presented by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), is open to all ages.

On September 3, people can run 5km, 3km or 1km inside Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi. On 3 October, they can try the 10km, 5km and 3km at Al Ain’s iconic Hazza bin Zayed Stadium. Finally, on November 5th, the public can test their fitness levels in the 21.1km half marathon at a new course on Yas Island, as well as distances of 3km, 5km and 10km.

The race series titled ‘Serving the Community, Serving the Community’ showcases how Adnoc Abu Dhabi Marathon 2022 can drive community engagement and promote healthy lifestyles for all UAE residents.

Aref Al Awani, Secretary General of ADSC, said: “The new series of community races represents a unique addition to the fourth edition of the Adnoc Abu Dhabi Marathon programme and our overall physical activity agenda. It further sheds light on our commitment to encouraging physical activity among members of society of all age groups. The lasting commitment to exercise and ensuring it promotes our healthy and active lifestyle programmes to further improve Abu Dhabi’s Quality of Life Index.”

Saif Sultan Al Nasseri, Director of Human Capital at Adnoc, said: “Race Series Edition provides a great opportunity for the public to train and practice their race strategies ahead of the Adnoc Abu Dhabi Marathon and we encourage everyone to take advantage. Adnoc is delighted to support this initiative and we will continue to promote the well-being of our community through our integrative health and sports initiatives.”

Registration for the Race Series Edition will open in August at https://supersportsuae.com, and entrants can choose their preferred event and distance or register for the entire series.

The organizers have created a special bundle for those eager to take part in the entire Race Series. The individual entry fee for each event is AED 55, while the entry fee for the Yas Island Half Marathon on 5 November is AED 175. Runners who sign up for all three events will receive a 20% discount, with prices starting from AED 115.

Those already registered for ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon 2022 will benefit from a 30% discount code on the Race Series Edition.
