With the big festivities in full swing, with some hotels in Dubai charging almost Dh260,000 during the period, here are 5 places to spend your last night of 2022 with your loved ones without letting it go You broke everything.

Camping at Al Qudra Lake

Grab your family, friends and camping gear and head to Al Qudra Lake to spend your final night of 2022 in desert comfort. To make it even more special, get there before sunset to catch one of the last sunsets of the year. The lake gets chilly at night, so be sure to start a bonfire at this time – and pack plenty of marshmallows!

Also known as the “hidden” or “secret” beach, this stunning little-known spot is tucked away between Burj Al Arab and the Palm Jumeirah, offering unparalleled views of the city. Ringing in the New Year with your loved ones on one of the city’s most treasured beaches is an unmissable experience that money can’t buy.

Take a road trip and climb Jebel Hafeet

Stretching from Ras Al Khaimah in the eastern United Arab Emirates to the Musandam peninsula in northeastern Oman, the rugged Jebel Hafeet sits amidst the majestic cloud-piercing Hajar Mountains.

Take a scenic trek to a vantage point in the mountains and walk along trails through ancient settlements and hidden oases, taking in views of Oman and the UAE, past bustling date palm farms, to the mangroves and Arabian Gulf Along the coast with the arrival of the new year.

BBQ at Zabeel Park

Zabeel Park is one of the largest parks in Dubai, the size of 45 football fields, located in the heart of the city. There are plenty of deals for guests looking to ring in the new year in the spacious park; it’s home to Dubai Frames, where visitors can enjoy stunning views of the city’s old and new neighborhoods.

The park also offers live music, barbecue and picnic spots, miniature golf, food kiosks and even, in 2023, boat tours. Admission to the park is only Dh5, and children under 2 are admitted for free.

Abra Ride in Dubai Creek

The famous canal that separates Deira from Bur Dubai is the historic commercial center of Dubai. Hop aboard a traditional water taxi called an abra and sail the peaceful waters of the creek with your loved ones as the new year dawns. Visitors can disembark at Deira’s business district, where the city’s souks are located, and explore the leisurely spice and gold souks.

It only costs Dh1 to take abra for a single trip.
