The UAE participated in a virtual meeting attended by foreign ministers and representatives from the United States, the Kingdom of Morocco, the Kingdom of Bahrain and Israel to commemorate the first anniversary of the signing of the Abraham Agreement.
The UAE was represented at the meeting by Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, the President’s diplomatic adviser.
The purpose of the meeting is to explore the way to deepen relations in a way that conforms to the interests of the people of the region and build a more prosperous and stable region through fruitful cooperation and peaceful dialogue.
In his speech, Dr. Anwar Gargash said that the first anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate the opportunities created since last year, which convey hope and positive messages to regions facing various challenges (including instability).
He added that the key message to the youth in the region is that there are many opportunities for peace and cooperation, and differences can be resolved and resolved.
“The Abraham Agreement will enable us to help in a greater way in the peace process and will lead to the ultimate goal of a two-State solution. This matter is directly related to the Palestinians and Israelis, and our role is to provide a network of trust. The problems of the past will be set aside and replaced by hope for the future,” he added.
Gargash reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to continue the strategic peace track and further deepen and diversify this track. He praised the efforts of the United States to expand and strengthen peace in the region.
Participants expressed their commitment to maintaining the momentum of peace in the Middle East and creating a better future for the region on the basis of the peace agreement.
Also present at the meeting were U.S. Secretary of State Brinken, Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Britta, and Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdulatif bin Rashid Zayani.
