Lahore – A United Arab Emirates plane carrying relief supplies for flood victims landed in Lahore on Sunday. Rashid Ali, Chargé d’affaires of the UAE Embassy in China, handed over the relief supplies to Governor Iqbal. Iqbal, on behalf of the Chief Minister of Punjab Province Ch Parvez Elahi, expressed his gratitude to the UAE government for its timely help. “We thank the UAE for delivering relief supplies to flood victims in Punjab,” he said, adding that the UAE stands with Pakistan in every difficult moment. The provincial minister informed the UAE envoy and delegation of the ongoing disaster relief activities in the affected areas. The minister said relief supplies sent by the UAE will be distributed to the affected people soon.
