Parade will witness military action and closure of major roads
The UAE will celebrate its 51st National Day on December 2, with concerts, family-friendly events and fireworks commemorating the day being organized across the seven emirates. The streets are dotted with flags and lights heralding the day.
The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command has announced that there will be a National Day Parade on Thursday, December 1, from 8 am to 11 am at the Qawasim Corniche.
The parade will see the movement of military units and the closure of the road to the Qawasim Corniche. Ras Al Khaimah police urged motorists to take alternative routes to avoid traffic jams.
Police will also step up patrols to facilitate the flow of traffic to minimize congestion on all internal and external roads in the emirate.
RAK Police have completed preparations for the celebrations as 104 security and civil patrols will be patrolling across the emirate to closely monitor the security situation during the festivities.

A senior Ras Al Khaimah official said the patrols would be deployed in all important areas such as parks, markets, public places, places of celebration and mass gatherings.
He urged the public to abide by the general traffic control of the Ministry of the Interior, refrain from driving recklessly on the roads, obliterate license plate numbers, observe discipline and maintain order, as well as police and security instructions.
He invited all citizens and residents of the emirate to attend and participate in the national parade.
The UAE will celebrate National Day from 1 December to 4 December, and all public and private sector offices will remain closed to honor its people and celebrate the country’s achievements.
