UAE president congratulates Netanyahu on forming government

United Arab Emirates President Mohamed bin Zayed called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to congratulate him on forming a government, according to a statement released by Netanyahu’s office late Saturday.

Bin Zayed renewed his invitation to Netanyahu for an official visit to Abu Dhabi, which the two leaders agreed would happen soon.

Netanyahu became prime minister in September 2020 when Israel normalized relations with the UAE and Bahrain as part of the Trump administration-brokered Abraham Accords.
