doha – UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Monday discussed brotherly relations and strengthening cooperation to Ways to advance the common interests of both countries.
This was part of their formal talks at Emiri Diwan in Doha.
The Emir of Qatar welcomed and congratulated the UAE President on the 51st UAE National Day, and wished the UAE and its people continued progress and prosperity under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed. He also expressed hope that the visit will strengthen the cooperation between the UAE and Qatar and help to broaden its horizons.
The UAE President once again congratulated Sheikh Tamim and the people of Qatar on the successful hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, describing it as the pride of all GCC countries and the entire Arab world.
He added that Qatar’s successful hosting of this international sporting event is a testament to the ability of the GCC countries and the people of the Arab world to organize global events at a level of excellence and efficiency.
The UAE President expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Emir of Qatar for his warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and the UAE delegation.
The meeting explored the UAE-Qatar relationship and prospects for enhanced cooperation to promote the prosperity of both countries and serve their mutual interests in the areas of economy, investment and trade.
Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Tamim also discussed the importance of improving the GCC joint working ecosystem to serve the interests of their people and their aspirations for further development and prosperity.
They also reviewed some issues of common concern and exchanged views on the latest regional and global developments. — WAM
