UAE – In his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has issued a law establishing the Abu Dhabi Media Office.
The new entity will replace the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office and will include the Creative Media Authority and Abu Dhabi Media Corporation.
As an independent entity, the Abu Dhabi Media Office (ADMO) will oversee the unified media in the emirate by developing Abu Dhabi’s media strategy, coordinating the media plans and policies of Abu Dhabi government entities, and regulating and licensing media Ecosystem activities in the emirate, including in free zones.
The new entity will forge partnerships with local, regional and international media organisations. It will intensify efforts to align media campaigns and strategic plans among government entities, in addition to approving relevant media plans and coordinating with relevant entities to monitor their activities locally and internationally.
ADMO will also oversee the development of brand guidelines for the use of the Abu Dhabi Government logo and branding.
ADMO will also coordinate with relevant entities and media organizations to provide an enabling environment for creative entities to flourish by supporting private sector companies, in addition to developing initiatives to attract media content and increase their promotion in the emirate.
