On Thursday, January 12, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Pakistani Prime Minister Sheikh Baz Sharif, who is currently on a working visit to the UAE.
During the meeting at the Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi, the two leaders discussed the long-standing historical ties between the UAE and Pakistan and ways to strengthen cooperation in the best interests of the two friendly countries in various fields, including trade, economic and other region, and coordinate efforts to achieve sustainable development, according to the state news agency, Wan.
The two sides reviewed several regional and global issues of mutual concern and exchanged views.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed the Pakistani Prime Minister’s visit, stressing that the UAE supports Pakistan in everything it can to achieve development and stability, given the historical ties and friendship between the two countries.

The Pakistani Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the friendly relations between Pakistan and the UAE.
The leaders also witnessed the announcement of three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).
The first is a training collaboration between the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) and the Diplomatic Academy, another is a collaboration in combating human trafficking, and the third is a news collaboration between the Emirates News Agency (WAM) and the Pakistan News Agency.
On his arrival in Abu Dhabi earlier, the Pakistani prime minister was received by Economy Minister Abdullah bin Touk Mali and several officials, WAM reported.
