Muscat — United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will begin a two-day state visit to the Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday.
Announcing the visit, Diwan of the Crown Court said:
‘To affirm the brotherhood, good-neighborliness and historical relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the UAE, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will lead a high-profile delegation on a two-day state visit to Oman, from Tuesday.
Dr. Ahmed bin Hilal al Busaidi, Oman’s ambassador to the UAE, said the visit was Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed’s first visit to Oman since he assumed the presidency.
“Oman’s relationship with the UAE is outstanding and historic, a fraternal relationship established by the late Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed and Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Strategically linked, they have forged a deep and strong relationship between the two sibling countries,” he said in a statement. Bousaidi further said that these relations have been strengthened by the continuous communication between the leaders of the two countries and the fraternal people, under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed , these relationships are developing further.
Boucetti said that the visit will further develop and strengthen bilateral relations. “The two countries seek economic integration by increasing economic and investment opportunities, facilitating investor procedures, increasing the level of joint work to expand partnerships between the business sectors and increasing the volume of trade exchanges.”
Boucetti noted that the UAE is Oman’s main trading partner in the GCC, reinforcing optimism about the future of the Oman-UAE economic partnership.
