DUBAI: Dubai residents and visitors can now sign up for the sixth annual Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), a month-long Dubai Fitness Challenge that will bring a series of free workouts to the city starting October 29 this year Activities and Activities.
Registration is now open for DFC, a flagship fitness programme launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.
The challenge is to help everyone achieve a better future and showcase Dubai as one of the most vibrant cities in the world.
Residents and visitors can now sign up for “the world’s largest city-wide fitness campaign” on the Dubai Fitness Challenge website, with a commitment to working out 30 minutes a day for 30 days.
Signing up will ensure attendees understand everything the DFC has to offer, including exclusive events, free classes and citywide events. Participants can also access offers from their favorite fitness brands and stand a chance to win prizes. For those who aren’t sure where to start, the “Find Your 30” section of the DFC website offers workout plans, health and fitness vlogs, nutrition recipes, podcasts, virtual classes, articles on staying healthy, and more.
Max lineup
This year will see its largest lineup to date, including a month of fun and inclusive fitness activities in two fitness villages, 15 community fitness centers, a range of sporting events and thousands of free classes. The iconic Dubai Ride by DP World and the Dubai Run by Mai Dubai will once again return to Sheikh Zayed Road.

This year, with the region hosting several major sporting events, sports such as football, tennis, cricket and cricket will take centre stage at two fitness villages: Kite Beach Fitness Village and Last Exit Al Khawaneej Fitness Village with 20 Sports and fitness area offering everything from HIIT training and yoga to biking and water sports.
15 fitness centers with top fitness instructors will be located throughout the city, providing the resident community with easy and convenient fitness classes in support of their commitment to the 30X30 goal.
More than 50 sporting events will also take place this month, including the 2022 Dubai World Padel Championship, the Legends Team Cup Final (tennis), the DP World Tour Championship (golf), the Under Armour Turf Games and the Dubai Yachting Grand Prix.
Dubai Cycling, Dubai Running
Ride Dubai, one of DFC’s flagship events, will take place on November 6, offering families, recreational cyclists and cyclists the chance to cycle past Dubai’s iconic Sheikh Zayed Road Landmarks for a unique experience.
Dubai Run will also take over Sheikh Zayed Road on November 20, offering families, aspiring runners and professionals the chance to take part in the world’s largest free fun run. Last year’s two events saw record numbers of participation, with 33,000 cyclists taking part in the Dubai Ride and 146,000 runners, joggers and walkers taking part in the Dubai Run.
People of all ages and ability levels will have unlimited opportunities to participate in a diverse line-up including a 30-day football programme featuring youth championships and coaching sessions, the Expo City Sports and Fitness Weekend, and sports and leading global Fitness and sports brands partner to run events across the city.
