Some people say that even in places where masks are no longer needed, they will continue to wear masks.

As the UAE relaxes restrictions on masks, residents pledged to stay vigilant and help others keep Covid safe-even if they are on the runway, on the beach and in the salon.

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Agency (NCEMA) announced on Wednesday Certain situations and public places where masks are no longer mandatoryThese include: when exercising in public places; when members of the same family travel in a private car; in swimming pools and beaches; in closed places when alone; in salons and beauty centers; and in medical centers.

For fitness enthusiast Athar Malpa, this decision is a relief.

“Working out with a mask and jogging have always been my concerns. I have always been dissatisfied with my fitness habits, and now my life will slowly return to normal,” said Malpa, who works at Yalla Insurance.

Lebanese expatriate and personal trainer Jennifer Chalouhi (Jennifer Chalouhi) said that taking off the mask allows people to “freely move around” and “provide more oxygen to the muscles” during exercise.

“We also have a responsibility to enter any facility in a state of complete health, without fever or cold. If we learn anything during Covid, it is that the virus spreads rapidly, and we have a responsibility to continue to protect ourselves and everyone around us,” Chalouhi said.

Chalouhi agrees that covering the nose and mouth is a challenge during fitness. “Masks can sometimes cause symptoms such as shortness of breath or dizziness. As long as they continue to comply with all Covid protocols, many fitness enthusiasts and others will enjoy their workouts even more without having to wear them.”

Asad Sattar, an Iranian businessman in Dubai, often goes to the beach with his family-they can’t wait to go out the next day.

“It gave me a sigh of relief because we spent family time on the shore… Now we can take off our masks on the beach and we will keep physical distance from others,” Sattar said.

Individuals no longer need to wear masks when they walk into salons and beauty centers.

Raju is a hairstylist and barber at a salon in Deira. He promised to take all Covid-19 precautions to ensure the safety of customers. “The safety of my customers will be my top priority, so I will still wear a mask and carry disinfectant with me.”

“We have very close physical interactions, and it is important for me to ensure safety first,” he added.
