Samsung Electronics on Friday announced the launch of its fourth-generation Galaxy Z foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4, for the UAE market. Devices start at AED 3,799 for the Galaxy Z Flip4 (128 GB) and AED 7,249 for the Galaxy Z Fold4 (512 GB) model.

The devices will go on sale on September 2nd. Prices for these devices vary by model and memory size.

Seong Hyun Lee, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics, said: “The Galaxy Z series is now available in the UAE. Each of these devices has a unique design identity – the Z Flip4 is the ultimate self-expression tool inside and out, and the Z Fold4 is A multitasking powerhouse with ultimate performance.”

Galaxy Z Flip4 Features

The Galaxy Z Flip4 comes with new features including an upgraded camera, larger battery and expanded customization. In addition to advanced camera technology and a powerful mobile processor, it also features an immersive display and PC-like multitasking capabilities.

Users can partially fold the Z Flip4 to activate FlexCam, which can even be enjoyed on users’ favorite apps, to shoot hands-free videos from various angles or take full-group selfies, perfect for content creators and vloggers.

The upgraded camera features a 65% brighter sensor and the Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform for sharper, more stable photos and videos, day or night.

From the cover screen you can make calls, reply to text messages, unlock your car, and even control the SmartThings scene widget.

The Galaxy Z Flip4 uses an extended 3,700mAh battery to extend connection time between charges. The Z Flip4 now supports super fast charging, charging up to 50% in about 30 minutes.

Galaxy Z Fold4 Features

The Galaxy Z Fold4 is the first device to ship with Android 12L, a special version of Android created by Google for big-screen experiences, including foldable devices.

The new taskbar offers a PC-like layout, providing access to users’ favorite and recent applications. Multitasking is also more intuitive thanks to new swipe gestures. Users can instantly switch full-screen apps to pop-ups or split the screen in two for more ways to multitask. The multitasking experience goes hand in hand with the capabilities of the S Pen, allowing you to draw and take notes on the go with streamlined storage in a vertical case with pen.

The Galaxy Z Fold4 uses an upgraded 50MP wide-angle lens and 30x space zoom lens to capture photos and videos. Various camera modes, including larger zoom maps activated in capture view mode, dual preview, and rear camera selfies, are customized to take advantage of the unique form factor for greater capture flexibility. With larger pixel size, a 23% brighter sensor and enhanced processing power, users can capture clear images even at night.

Content is even more immersive and distinctive on the 7.6-inch main screen, which is brighter, has a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a less visible under-display camera (UDC) with a new diffused sub-pixel arrangement.

Popular apps like Facebook and Netflix are optimized for the big screen experience to make content more fun, entertainment service apps.

For non-optimized applications, users can even use the new Flex Mode touchpad to control the device without interrupting content, providing accuracy when pausing, rewinding, and playing video, or zooming in and out of content while the device is in Flex Mode.

Gaming is also smoother thanks to the powerful Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform and super-fast 5G.
