UAE school group GEMS Education hires 1,800 teachers ahead of new term

Many new teachers are recruited from abroad, mainly from the UK, US and India. Newly joined are five new principals who will run schools in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Fujairah. Newly recruited teachers cover all grades from kindergarten to post-16, covering UK, IB, US and Indian curricula.

GEMS Awareness Day completes a week of school engagement activities and cultural awareness training.

Jade Collinson, a Foundations teacher who relocated from the UK to join GEMS Wellington College – Al Khail (WEK), said: “My career at GEMS has had a great start.
