UAE: Seha opens two new urgent care centers to provide non-Covid care – News

Abu Dhabi Health Services (Seha) has announced the opening of a new urgent care center within Al Rahba Hospital and the reopening of the urgent care center at Al Ain Hospital to provide non-Covid care and easy access to a wide range of medical services.

Al Ain Urgent Care Center will provide non-life-threatening services for patients 16 years of age and older, while Al Rahba Urgent Care Center provides the same services for adults and children. Both centers are designed to provide immediate and convenient access for urgent medical cases and accept urgent and walk-in clients.

The Urgent Care Center at Al Rahba Hospital is open from 10:00 to 22:00. The Al Ain Hospital Urgent Care Center is located in Clinic 2 and is open 24/7 with on-site laboratory testing, physiotherapy and x-ray equipment.

Commenting on the opening of the two centers, Yousef Altheeb Al Ketbi, Chief Operating Officer, Seha Acting Group, said, “Our new and reopened centers will help us increase access to Seha services and cater to more urgent care patients. needs. Through these centers, we are able to care for patients in a timely manner to assess them to ensure they are stable before we send them to the hospital for ongoing and comprehensive care. Our staff includes board-certified emergency medicine consultants, medical practitioners and specialists , and registered nurses who are on call to treat patients when they arrive.”

AlKetbi continued, “The Urgent Care Center at Al Ain Hospital is on hold to accommodate the increasing number of Covid-19 patients. As we continue our path towards a new normal and away from the pandemic, we are very pleased to The wider community activates the center.”

The Al Rahba Urgent Care Center will be equipped to provide the following services for adults and children: laceration repair (glue, suturing), minor abscess drainage, wound care, ECG interpretation, X-ray interpretation, non-displaced fractures, minor burn care, foreign bodies Clearance (Ear, Throat, Superficial Skin), Diabetic Complications Management (High/Low Glucose), Asthma Attack Management, Mild/Moderate Dehydration Treatment, Chest Pain Assessment and Management, Kidney Stones and UTI Management, Abdominal Pain, Ear, Nose Throat symptoms, influenza-like illness, and acute vomiting and/or diarrhea.

Al Ain Hospital will provide high-quality, cost-effective, immediate care for non-emergency adult patients (16 years and older). These services will include (but are not limited to) initial screening, stabilization, diagnosis, treatment and/or referral or transfer to a higher level of care as needed. If a patient presents to Tawam Hospital with a similar condition, the patient may be referred to Al Ain Hospital.
