Both sides discuss defense and military cooperation

On Tuesday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met with General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan.
The meeting was held at Za’abeel Palace and was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council.
Sheikh Mohammad congratulated General Asim Munir on his appointment as Pakistan Army Chief of Staff and wished him every success in his new post. General Asim Munir thanked the ruler of Dubai for his wishes.
The meeting discussed the strong cooperation between the UAE and Pakistan in defense and military affairs, and explored opportunities to strengthen these ties in a manner that is in the mutual interest of both countries.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Airline and Group; Sheikh Ahmed, Chairman of Dubai Media Council His Highness de bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council.
