Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed AlQasimi, Member and Ruler of the Supreme Council of Sharjah, accompanied by his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the BEEAH Group Board of Directors, approved the joint ‘Jawaher Boston Medical District’ project .
The first-of-its-kind collaboration in the UAE and the region, led by the BEEAH Group, the Massachusetts General Hospital Network and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, is expected to lead through the creation of an advanced emirate’s network of integrated healthcare systems, including hospitals, laboratories, R&D centers and more, all These will use the latest international best practices.
His Highness received a delegation at Al Badi Palace today (Thursday) which included representatives of the cooperating entities, Meghan Gregonis, US Consul General in Dubai; Khaled Al Huraimel, CEO of BEEAH Group; Dr Hans Thomas, Mass General Brigham Hospital network; and Dr. Laurie Glimcher, President and CEO, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

During the meeting, His Highness reviewed the detailed presentation on the project, which is also expected to make a significant contribution to the field of medical research and research in general, and cancer diseases in particular, by utilizing the expertise of the key collaborators of the project as well as others Sharjah’s scientific research institutions have made significant contributions.
Built to reflect the latest design innovations in the global healthcare industry, the medical precinct will be located on the UAE Bypass next to the Sharjah Mosque and cover a range of specialties including lifestyle and preventive medicine, oncology, women’s health, paediatrics, cardiovascular disease, neurology Science, Behavioral Health and Rehabilitation Medicine.
The project will also expand its strong care network to reach homes, schools, workplaces and residential areas in Sharjah.
Khaled Al Huraimel, CEO of BEEAH Group, confirmed that the project reflects the vision of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and his wife, His Highness Sheikha Jawaher, to make Sharjah one of the best healthcare cities in the Middle East, emphasizing that BEEAH Group is working hard to enhance the emirate’s and quality of life in other regions.
He said the project would better serve the community by providing highly advanced diagnostic and treatment services, while also giving medical staff access to the latest medical research and research. He further emphasized that through this new project, Sharjah has become home to a groundbreaking global alliance of world leaders in medicine, research and innovation who will work together to develop new standards and guidelines for the entire region.
