UAE: Sheikha Latifa attends 40th anniversary of Dubai Special Needs Centre

“Under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE Government attaches great importance to empowering people of determination and creating an environment conducive to their development. skills environment and achieve excellence in various fields,” said Sheikha Latifa.

During the event, Dr Abdullah Al Khayat, Chairman of the Centre’s Board of Directors, delivered a speech highlighting the key achievements of the Dubai Special Needs Centre. He also spoke about the center’s founding 40 years ago and the generous support it continues to receive from the community. Dr. Al Khayat expressed his sincere gratitude to Sheikha Latifa for his support of this event.

He also thanked the center’s patrons for their commitment to supporting the center’s students, which has helped raise DSCN’s profile as one of the region’s leading centers for determined people.

In a speech by Dr Mahshid Salehi, Director of the Dubai Special Needs Centre, she said: “This year’s annual concert is centred around the celebration of the Dubai Special Needs Centre’s 40th anniversary. It is especially touching that we are working with all involved in the Centre’s success story people to celebrate the center’s achievements.”

“I’m honored to have and still be a part of it, it’s a very special thing. Most of the acting students, I grew up watching, and I feel like I have the most beautiful big family,” Dr. Salish added.

During the event, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed hosted a live musical and drama performance by Centre students called “DCSN’s Secret Diary” in the Centre Auditorium. Showcases of student versatility were held in the presence of the center’s board of directors, board members, and students’ friends and family members who participated in the performances. The center’s president and director honored the center’s longtime patrons at the ceremony.

After the event, Sheikha Latifa visited DCSN’s art store, where she viewed the artwork and creative crafts developed by the center’s students.

DCSN is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality professional education and treatment to individuals with special needs. The center’s goal is to provide students with key skills that will enable them to lead active lives.
