Aaron Jones’ 87 balls went 123 innings, meaning they were 295-8 on 50 overs.
However, thanks to a superb performance from Calum MacLeod, the home side easily completed the chase.
The Scottish batsman won his second award of the game in a row, after his sparkling 117 won five wickets for his side.
McLeod’s easy win in the series opener against the UAE also marked a half-century of achievement.
The sides meet again on Sunday and the UAE know they need to improve if they continue to pursue automatic promotion to next year’s World Cup qualifiers.
