The results were announced on Friday.
The Central Committee for Secondary Education (CBSE) grade XII grades were released, which made the UAE students breathe a sigh of relief. They held their breath and waited for the final grade.
The results are available on the official website of the board of directors-cbseresults.nic.in, where students can log in to download their results.
Due to the surge in Covid-19 cases in South Asian countries, the CBSE has decided to cancel this year’s XII exam for the first time in its history.
This was decided at a high-level meeting hosted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in May, taking into account the health and safety of students due to the pandemic.
Therefore, a new evaluation policy was formulated this year. As part of the evaluation plan, unit tests or mid-term or board exams, including practice, are weighted for the combined scores obtained in categories 10 and 11.
The Supreme Court of India, which is hearing the matter, approved the new policy, after which the CBSE stated that it would release 12 categories of results based on this new evaluation policy before July 31.
How is the score calculated under the new evaluation criteria?
According to the policy determined by the 13-member group established by the board of directors, the evaluation formula for theoretical essays is: 30% for grade 10, 30% for grade 11, and 40% for grade 12. The scores obtained in the unit test/midterm/pre-entry exam are accounted for.
If any student fails to meet the eligibility criteria, the CBSE also stated that the candidate will be placed in the “basic repetition” or “compartment” category.
At the same time, the board of directors also stated that students who are dissatisfied with the performance formula can improve their scores through optional exams.
These exams may be held between August 15th and September 15th.
