The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) has announced transformational projects under the vision “We the UAE 2031”. This constitutes a National Action Plan through which the UAE will continue its development journey and enter the first decade of the next 50 years.
TDRA will have three transformational projects with significant strategic impact, namely the Digital Vault for the Banking, Insurance and Telecommunications Sector, the Children’s Communication Services Program and the Digital Customer Journey Quality Measurement Program.
These projects are in line with the “We the UAE 2031” vision and its comprehensive development plan for the next ten years, covering social, economic, investment and development aspects, especially within the “Forward Ecosystem” pillar, and in line with the pillars of special directions, including Building the government of the future.
Emerging Technologies
The announced projects also fall under the comprehensive document of initiatives and plans for the Digital Transformation Strategy, aimed at consolidating the foundations and concepts of a comprehensive and integrated digital life in the UAE, while affirming the UAE’s global status as a leading and advanced country in the field of digital government and the adoption of emerging technologies for Customer service, and support for applications that contribute to an attractive digital economy environment.
TDRA Director General Eng Majed Sultan Al Mesmar said: “The TDRA transformation project falls within the overall context of the UAE’s direction and the vision of its wise leadership, and represents an interpretation of several pillars of the ‘We UAE 2031’ vision, which enhances the UAE’s future readiness We are pleased that the ICT sector is one that supports progress in all sectors, especially the economy, by consolidating the digital economy, which strengthens the UAE’s leading position on the global map.

The Digital Vault project helps the telecom sector, banking sector, insurance and private sector to design and deliver seamless digital services to customers in a way that improves the quality of life in the UAE, based on ease, trust and privacy. The Children’s Exchange Service Project is a special project with great social significance. It includes working with licensees to launch telecommunication services and packages for minors to provide telecommunication services safely, thereby promoting the use of modern technologies such as smart watches and wearable devices. The initiative will be the first of its kind in the region and keeps pace with children’s increasing use of digital technology in education, entertainment and more. The initiative aims to regulate the use of telecommunications services by minors, protect this part of society, and encourage minors to use technology safely.
The Digital Customer Journey Quality Measurement Initiative project aims to improve user experience and support decision making through a data analytics platform that provides greater insight into applications using AI in operations, providing interactive and proactive monitoring and analysis to identify root causes Operational errors and slowdowns associated with service provision, making services seamless and available 24/7.
The project aims to improve customer satisfaction by enabling a better user experience at the general government service level, and to realize the UAE’s vision and national direction of delivering the best government services in the pillar of “Forward Ecosystem”. — trade arab news agency
