On Saturday, the Pakistani Embassy in Abu Dhabi reminded the Pakistani community in the UAE to pay attention to fines for violating Covid-related safety precautions.
Encourage overseas Pakistanis in the country to understand the violations and abide by the current rules.
The statement read: “In view of the current Covid-19 situation, please take care of your own health and the safety of everyone around you in Pakistani brothers and sisters in the UAE, and abide by relevant laws.”
The fines listed are as follows:
| 1 | Regulations on the number of people who can live in a house in violation of regulations (for the owner or person in charge of the house) | Dh20,00 |
| 2 | Non-compliance with entry precautions | 5,000 dirhams |
| 3 | More than the number of unrelated passengers (drivers) allowed in a vehicle | AED 3,000 |
| 4 | Do not wear masks in the workplace or shared housing | AED 500 |
| Do not wear a mask in public other times | AED 3,000 | |
| 5 | Exceed the number of people allowed to have social gatherings in the open area (per person) | AED 3,000 |
| 6 | Refuse to accept PCR testing or abuse the right to accept testing when needed | 5,000 dirhams |
| PCR test without or request | 1,000 dirhams | |
| 7 | Travel outside of curfew hours without permission | AED 3,000 |

It also learned that people who have been fined for any of these crimes can submit a request for fines to the UAE Public Prosecutor on www.pp.gov.ae for possible exemptions.
