Rates fell in August, September and October after reaching record highs in July

The UAE Fuel Prices Council will publish petrol and diesel prices for January 2023 tomorrow.
The country decided to deregulate retail fuel prices in August 2015, and since then, the commission has announced revised prices every month. It has been publishing petrol and diesel prices on the last day of each month for the past few months.
The United Arab Emirates raised retail fuel prices in November, but dropped them slightly in the final month of the year.
After reaching an all-time high in July, retail fuel prices in the UAE fell in August, September and October.
Global oil prices rose Friday afternoon. WTI crude oil was trading at $78.64 a barrel, up 0.31%, while Brent crude was up 0.35% at $83.75 a barrel.
Brent crude is on track to end the year up 8% after rising 50.2% in 2021. Prices peaked at $139.13 a barrel in March, the highest level since the 2008 Russia-Ukraine military crisis.
Retail fuel prices averaged Dh3.18 per liter on December 26, compared with a global average of Dh4.7 per liter.
