The United Arab Emirates will host the first I2U2 Deputy Ministerial meeting in Abu Dhabi this week.Senior officials from four countries, India, Israel, the United States and the United States, will attend the meeting United Arab Emirates.
Undersecretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and Environment Jose W. Fernandez will lead the US delegation to the February 21-22 meeting in Abu Dhabi, according to an official statement.Fernandez to represent U.S. at I2U2 business forum hosted by UAE; first vice-ministerial meeting since chairs co-announce breakouts joe bidenIsraeli Prime Minister Lapid, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Indian Prime Minister narendra modiit says.
“During the forum, partner countries will discuss opportunities to advance regional cooperation and investment opportunities to build partnerships to address some of the region’s most pressing issues, including managing energy crises and food insecurity,” the State Department said.
Fernandez will also meet with senior UAE officials to discuss bilateral climate and clean energy cooperation, food security and other shared economic priorities as the UAE prepares to host COP28 in November 2023.
The statement added that Special Envoy for Global Food Security Dr. Cary Fowler will work with Deputy Secretary of State Fernandez to advance U.S. food security priorities. After that, he will go to Muscat to lead the US delegation to participate in the first US-Arab strategic dialogue.
