UAE to invite 300 young international journalists to workshop – News

The High Organising Committee (GMC) of the Global Media Conference, a strategic partnership between the ADNEC Group and the Emirates News Agency (WAM), has announced the launch of the Global Young Media Empowerment Programme, the largest training programme of its kind set for 2022 During the inaugural GMC from November 15th to 17th, 2018.

The official Emirates News Agency will invite 300 young journalists from around the world to participate in various seminars.

Two dozen workshops at the conference will provide young scribes with in-depth training in a wide range of skills and specialties such as digital and solutions journalism, artificial intelligence and neuroscience techniques in media, fact-checking, metaverse, script writing, combat Error messages, audio content creation and many other important topics.

Under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, the event will feature exhibitions and dedicated sessions focusing on the latest developments and future of the media industry.

Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director General of WAM and Chair of the GMC Senior Organizing Committee, said of his organization’s decision to send a large number of young journalists with three to five years of professional experience to the event, with the aim of educating the next generation of media professionals about media Knowledge of the latest technological and innovative advancements in the field.

“We don’t see it as a one-off initiative. Our goal is to sponsor similar engagements in subsequent editions of the Global Media Conference. We’ve already scheduled around 30 workshops where attendees will learn the most important technologies and skills. Young people in The media industry looks for a bright future,” he elaborated.

Explaining the reasons for bringing in journalists from different countries and continents, Al Rayssi added that in a globalized world, the fair dissemination of knowledge and expertise is essential to level the playing field.

“We believe our moral duty is to provide enriching opportunities for the young men and women who will land in Abu Dhabi at our invitation. We want them to return to their respective countries feeling that they have had a fruitful learning experience and that they can Leverage these resources in the workplace to contribute to the development of the media sector in your country.”

“The UAE has always prioritized its role as a global citizen in various fields. We follow the same model in the media space. We look forward to interacting with such a large group of young journalists representing multiple platforms, countries, continents and cultural and linguistic backgrounds ,” he concluded.

The conference provides an opportunity for various media organisations to discuss partnerships and collaborative ventures that will advance the media sector, ensure its long-term sustainability and continue to deliver credible, credible and highly credible content.
