The Football Association has drawn up plans for the UAE national team until next year, with a glamorous friendly against Lionel Messi and Argentina in Abu Dhabi in November.
The national team will begin preparations for the Arabian Gulf Cup in Iraq in January later this month, with four friendly matches scheduled from this month until mid-November.

From September 17, Rodolfo Arubarena’s team will face Paraguay and Venezuela during an 11-day training camp in Austria. These competitions will take place from September 23rd to 27th.
The team will then host a week-long training camp in Abu Dhabi on November 13, where they will play Argentina on November 16 and Kazakhstan three days later.
Argentina, South American defending championwho are completing preparations for the World Cup in Qatar in the capital, opened their Group C account against Saudi Arabia in Doha on November 22.
Meanwhile, the UAE kick off their final training camp for the Arabian Gulf Cup scheduled for December 26 from January 6-19.
After that, the national team will spend two weeks preparing for the West Asian Football Championship at home from March 20, while the national team will meet from May 28 to June 15 to prepare for the 2023 Asian Cup. So far, the event has no hosts after China pulled out in May due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
On Thursday, the FA confirmed the appointment of Dutchman Marcel Lukasen as technical director, while former UAE national team assistant coach Tako van den Velde has been appointed technical affairs and national team director.
