Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, said it will resume flights from some cities in India to Abu Dhabi from August 7.
From August 10, the airline will open flights from three other Indian cities to the UAE, as well as connecting passenger flights from three Pakistani cities, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Etihad Airways stated on its website that between August 7th and 9th, the airline will operate flights from Chennai, Kochi, Bangalore, Trivandrum and New Delhi.
Starting August 10, flights from Ahmedabad, India (transit only), Hyderabad, and Mumbai will be added; as well as Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad in Pakistan. Etihad Airways will also operate flights from Dhaka, Bangladesh and Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Passengers returning to the UAE must hold a valid right of residence and prove that they have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine in the UAE at least 14 days before travel. Certain categories of unvaccinated people eligible to return include medical personnel, teachers in the UAE, students, extenuable residents, patients receiving treatment in the UAE, and employees working for federal or local government agencies.
These latest categories are in addition to the previously exempted categories of UAE nationals, diplomatic missions, official delegations and golden visa holders.
