He conveyed “the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, wishing him to be re-elected President of the Republic of Turkey.”

“The special relationship between the two countries plays an important role in laying the groundwork for promoting peace and regional economic development,” he said.

“Parliamentary relations play a key role in strengthening relations between countries,” Ghobash said.

“This certainly applies to the parliamentary relationship between the Federal National Assembly and the Turkish Grand National Assembly,” he added.

Ghobash affirmed that “Turkey and the UAE can develop relations at the parliamentary level by increasing the scope of parliamentary visits at the presidential and friendship committee levels.”

“Our two committees could also agree to create joint action mechanisms through which they can exchange experience in the areas of supervisory and legislative work,” he added.
