It will support the country’s long-term strategy to become a global AI leader
The Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) has launched an implementation plan to help the UAE government and business leaders unlock the potential of artificial intelligence in the country’s socio-economic growth.
The program will enable participants to ensure smart management, improve efficiency and increase productivity across departments.
It will also promote greater participation in artificial intelligence among the government, enterprises and the scientific community to accelerate the development of the UAE’s future industries and support the country’s long-term strategy to become a global leader in artificial intelligence.
It includes six courses, which will be taught by lecturers from the world’s leading academic institutions, executives from global multinational companies, and the university’s own teachers.
The Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, said: “The MBZUAI implementation plan announced today once again demonstrates the United Arab Emirates’ determination to place itself at the forefront of technology and innovation shaping the global economy. He said that all industries and economic sectors will benefit from the new implementation plan, which underscores the UAE’s commitment to promote local economic growth and promote artificial intelligence to become a beneficial global force.
The program will provide some of the most respected names in the artificial intelligence industry. These include Eric Xing (President of MBZUAI); Sir Michael Brady (Professor Emeritus, University of Oxford); Daniela Rus (Director of the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory); Michael Jordan (Chen Peihong Distinguished Professor, University of California, Berkeley); Dr. Kaifu Li (Chairman and CEO of Innovation Works) etc.

Approximately 40 senior executives in the first batch of the program will participate in a 12-week online hands-on course, as well as seminars on business, ethics, and policy development in the artificial intelligence industry.
The deadline for registration is October 7th and the course will start on October 23rd.
The six courses of the program include: Introduction to AI; Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Economics; Visual Cognition and Intelligence; Language Cognition and Intelligence; The Future of Robotics; and Artificial Intelligence Ethics and Policy Making.
