The launch ceremony included presentations by UAEU staff, researchers and student projects. The Ministry of Consolidated Agriculture presents hydroponics and aquaponics setups in nutrient film technology for comparison of coriander herb production. The School of Engineering presents “Roll-expander tube-to-tubesheet joints using friction stir welding process for heat exchanger applications”. The Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering presents a method for the recovery of ammonia from contaminated water, including Solvay wastewater and aqueous solutions. The Khalifa Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology presented some projects related to agricultural sustainability.
