Ground forces from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United States have launched the joint military exercise “Steel Alliance 19,” the UAE Ministry of Defense said on Twitter.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the exercise, which was conducted within the UAE, aims to develop joint cooperation and coordination between the two parties and increase the level of combat readiness to achieve a professional level of mission execution.
The annual exercise, which typically lasts more than a week, is aimed at exchanging military expertise, improving efficiency and readiness, and strengthening ties between Washington and Abu Dhabi.

The UAE regularly conducts joint military exercises with various countries to enhance experience and combat readiness.
In March, UAE ground forces and the US Army conducted a joint military exercise at the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) in Louisiana, US.
According to the Global Firepower website, which specializes in military affairs to 2023, the UAE ranks second on the list of the most powerful Gulf militaries and 56th globally, while its defense budget is estimated at more than $23 billion.
The UAE army consists of 65,000 soldiers and has more than 522 various military aircraft, 434 tanks and 8,750 armored military vehicles.
