She added: “Since the campaign began in 2007, EEG has planted 2,114,318 trees across the UAE, including the trees planted today. These trees sequester 12,467 metric tons of CO2 emissions per year, which is equivalent to removing 2,657 cars in one year. Cars on the road. This year, 9,069 trees were planted in the UAE, and next year we aim to plant even more.”
