Dubai: The morning is foggy in parts of Abu Dhabi, while Dubai, Sharjah and other emirates are cloudy.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued red and yellow fog alerts in the western region of Abu Dhabi today. The alert warns of deteriorating horizontal visibility, with some coastal and inland areas seeing further reductions in horizontal visibility at times before 9am today.
According to the NCM: “The weather will be generally cloudy with low clouds on the East Coast in the morning, light rain in the afternoon and possible convective clouds over the mountains.”
The highest temperature across the country is expected to be between 27-31°C, and the lowest temperature is expected to be between 12-18°C.
In the coastal areas, maximum temperatures will be between 25-30°C and in the mountains between 17-23°C.
“Light to moderate winds, sometimes refreshing, will blow dust and sand at speeds of 10-20 to 35 km/h,” the NCM added.
Humidity will be 70-90% in interior areas, while 45-65% is expected in the mountains.
Relative humidity is expected to increase overnight and Wednesday morning, particularly along the coast and inland, leading to fog formation.
The seas in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will be small.
