Dubai: UAE residents expect partly cloudy to cloudy conditions across the UAE. According to a weather alert from the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM), rain is possible in parts of Abu Dhabi. Motorists are advised to take extra precautions as roads can be slippery when it rains.
According to the NCM, the weather will generally be partly cloudy to cloudy, with some rain inland and along the coast.
Maximum temperatures in the interior of the country are expected to be between 38 and 41°C. Temperatures will reach 32 to 37°C in coastal areas and islands, and 29 to 33°C in the mountains.
The highest temperature recorded in Soyhan Al Ain was 41.7°C at 2.15pm yesterday.
We can expect light to medium winds, sometimes refreshing, especially as the clouds pick up dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility in exposed areas.
Southeast to northeasterly winds will reach 15 – 25 km/h, sometimes 40 km/h.
The waters of the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will be relatively calm.
