UAE weather: Temperatures set to drop this September

[ad_1]

September 23 marks the beginning of the autumnal equinox…

You’ve probably noticed this when you sprint to your car in the morning, go for a run at school or take a walk at night – but the UAE is starting to cool down.

If you’re wondering what the weather will be like this month, take note of the September climate report just released by the National Center for Meteorology (NCM). September is considered the last month of summer, so you can expect temperatures to drop – especially at night. So you can enjoy an open-air sunset or BBQ in the garden until the end of the month.

But while temperatures are dropping, on average, September is the wettest month in the UAE.Looking at 44 years of data collected at a weather station near Dubai International Airport from 1977 to 2021 shows that while August is the warmest month, the maximum average humidity is highest in September. According to the data, the maximum average humidity is 69% in June, 65% in July, 65% in August and 74% in September. So that explains why September can often feel oppressive, hot, like a super hot August.

However, there is still weather news to look forward to. September 23 will mark the fall exuinox, when the sun hits the equator and the northern and southern hemispheres get the same amount of light. This marks the beginning of autumn.
