UAE welcomes start of talks between Sudan’s warring parties – News

The Sudanese Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces had earlier agreed to hold preliminary discussions in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah

The UAE welcomes the start of talks between representatives of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces in Jeddah.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) praised the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America and their efforts to ensure the success of the dialogue, stressing the importance of reaching a consensus to end the crisis between the parties and avoid The Sudanese people suffered more.

The ministry expressed hope that this step will facilitate relief and humanitarian aid reaching the affected areas, especially for the most vulnerable including the sick, children, the elderly and women.

The ministry affirmed the UAE’s commitment to work with its partners and the international community to achieve all goals that are in the interests of the Sudanese people, thereby restoring peace and security and fulfilling the aspirations of the Sudanese people for stability in all regions.
