UAE’s ADDED partners with Egypt’s Valeo to support Abu Dhabi’s transport sector


United Arab Emirates – The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and Valeo Egypt have partnered to develop the industrial sector through a strategic agreement.

Through the partnership, Valeo will be able to design and manufacture components for electric and autonomous vehicles in Abu Dhabi, according to a press release.

In addition to promoting the development of the transportation industry, this initiative is expected to improve smart and sustainable mobility.

A further aim of the partnership is to foster the growth of the industrial solutions development community and collaborate with local start-up electric vehicle (EV) companies.

At the same time, Valeo will explore new areas of development by combining advanced technologies with the sustainable development vision of green cities.

A partnership between UAE and Egyptian entities will help create a technology hub for electric and autonomous vehicle components in Abu Dhabi.

Arafat Al Yafei, Executive Director of the Emirates Industrial Development Board (IDB), said: “We look forward to taking action with Valeo on this agreement, which is part of our commitment to achieve the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy (ADIS). ) part of an ongoing effort towards an ambitious goal.”

Al Yafei elaborated: “This collaboration to develop smart mobility and establish a technology center for electric and autonomous vehicle components in Abu Dhabi is in line with our initiatives to ensure growth, sustainability and advanced technology in all aspects Go hand in hand.
