São Paulo – UAE based advanced technology and defense solutions company edge announced that it will Open a regional office Latin America in Brasilia, Brazil. The announcement was made during participation in LAAD, the international defense and security exhibition held in Rio de Janeiro from April 11-14. In a statement, Edge said the office would open soon, but did not give a date. Edge Managing Director and CEO Mansour AlMulla said the announcement clearly demonstrates the company’s confidence in markets across the continent and the valuable opportunities they present for international business development, knowledge sharing and greater prosperity.
The company informed the office that it will allow the expansion of services, products and solutions offered in Brazil and other regional markets, the establishment of partnerships and the promotion of unique and competitive offers for the development of local defense capabilities.
At LAAD in Rio de Janeiro, the Emirati company signed an agreement with the Brazilian Navy to co-create the missile business opportunity, according to Edge. Agreements were also signed with four Brazilian companies: Condor, Kryptus, Siatt and Akaer. Edge said the agreements are strategic for leveraging synergies to capture mutually beneficial business opportunities.
Edge’s orders last year exceeded $5 billion, of which $1.2 billion came from overseas markets. The company serves 30 countries in North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
