UAE’s way to become an unrivaled tourism and cultural icon | Atalayal

[ad_1]

Abu DhabiThe capital of the United Arab Emirates, has become a very attractive city for travelers as it has grown from a financial and political center to a megacity with important tourism and cultural programs in recent years, including Guggenheim Museum on Saadiyat Island, expected to open in 2025.

This cultural commitment continued following the signing of an intergovernmental agreement between the United Arab Emirates and France on March 6, 2007, culminating in the opening of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the first general museum in the Arab world. It also has other tourist attractions such as the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, where you can see 82 vaults of various sizes and minarets up to 100 meters high, decorated with chandeliers made of Swarovski crystals; Heritage Village, an open-air ethnographic museum where you can see ancient customs and traditions of the Arab people before oil extraction, or Ferrari World, a theme park dedicated to famous racing teams that attracts millions of tourists from all over the world world.

Dubai, on the other hand, was named the world’s best travel destination for 2022 by Tripadvisor. Its wide range of cultural and entertainment activities will attract more than 7 million foreign tourists in 2021, thanks in part to the momentum of Expo 2020 Dubai. But it’s not just tourist numbers that are growing, the city’s economic numbers are improving, with more than 5,500 new jobs created in the industry alone, and the outlook couldn’t be more optimistic now that the pandemic is over.

according to Revas BorjaCEO of consultancy Access UAE: “Although the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has one of the world’s largest oil reserves (6th) and gas reserves (7th), its economy has traditionally been based on this industry , the UAE government has made tourism and culture a key part of the country’s production diversification policy, with the goal of surpassing 31 million tourists by 2025.”
